Doug Wolfe possesses over 3 decades experience working as an Earth Science researcher, consulting geologist and science educator in the Western US. Doug specializes in biostratigraphy, using fossils to provide high-resolution correlations between sedimentary rocks, and to interpret ancient environments. As Principal Investigator for the Zuni Basin Paleontological Project, Doug applied these skills to discover the “Zuni Basin” Dinosaurs.
As a consulting geologist, Doug applied geologic science and leading-edge technology to tackle Arizona’s environmental challenges, also participating in Public Policy discussions.
Doug is an expert communicator/educator with credits as a producer/presenter for educational and documentary television, radio and print media, and a keynote presenter for educators, civic organizations and business. He currently teaches at Northland Pioneer College.

Hazel brings a passion for life-long learning and a dedication to empowering individuals with the tools to improve their lives and connect with the incredible world we live in.
Hazel has been Doug’s field partner for over 35 years sharing in the exploration and discovery of unique fossils while mentoring students and citizen scientists.
Hazel looks forward to bringing Earth Science education to our community.
Christopher Wolfe

Bringing over a decade of experience with information technologies, a lifetime working in the field, and non-trivial time in the service and start up industries, Chris hopes to share the privilege he had, every 7 year olds dream, of being a dinosaur hunter.
Whether online or in the field Chris is dedicated to providing accessible and fulfilling citizen science experiences.
Southwest Paleontological Society citizen scientist volunteers have worked with Douglas Wolfe since 1994. They have made countless discoveries providing friendship, laughter, funding, equipment and physical labor to the Zuni Basin and Menefee Projects. Western Science Center and ZDIG partner on the Menefee Project.
